  • Is illegal under any applicable law or regulation.

  • Encourages or provides instructions for self-harm or violence.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Service to:

3.1 Abuse & Security

  • Attempt to exploit, jailbreak, or manipulate AI models through prompt injection or adversarial techniques.
  • Conduct red teaming or adversarial testing without written authorization from J-ai Gateway.
  • Circumvent safety filters, content policies, or usage restrictions of any model.
  • Attempt to extract model weights, training data, or proprietary information from any model.

3.2 System Integrity

  • Overload, DDoS, or otherwise disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service in violation of rate limits.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Bypass authentication, authorization, or access controls.
  • Interfere with or monitor other users' use of the Service.

3.3 Fraud & Misrepresentation

  • Create fake accounts or use multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
  • Impersonate any person, entity, or J-ai Gateway staff member.
  • Resell API access without authorization.
  • Use the Service to mislead, deceive, or defraud others.

3.4 High-Risk Use

  • Use AI outputs as the sole basis for medical diagnoses, legal advice, or financial decisions.
  • Deploy AI outputs in safety-critical systems (e.g., autonomous vehicles, weapons) without appropriate human oversight.
  • Use the Service for mass surveillance or tracking of individuals without consent.
  • Generate deepfakes or misleading synthetic media designed to deceive.

4. API-Specific Rules

  • Respect all rate limits configured for your API keys.
  • Do not share API keys publicly (e.g., in public repositories, client-side code).
  • Do not store API keys in unencrypted form.
  • Implement proper error handling to avoid retry storms.
  • Use the appropriate model for your use case — do not use chat models for content that should go through media generation, or vice versa.

5. Content Filtering

J-ai Gateway reserves the right to:

  • Monitor usage patterns for potential abuse.
  • Block or filter requests that violate this policy.
  • Review flagged content and account activity.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement in investigations of illegal activity.

6. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Warning: A notice to correct the behavior.
  • Rate limiting: Temporary reduction of API access.
  • Key revocation: Immediate deactivation of API keys.
  • Account suspension: Temporary loss of access.
  • Account termination: Permanent removal and forfeiture of remaining credits.
  • Legal action: Where violations involve illegal activity.

We may take action immediately for serious violations without prior notice. For less severe violations, we will generally provide an opportunity to remediate.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@jaiplatform.com. We will review reports promptly and take appropriate action.

8. Model Provider Requirements

Different AI model providers may have additional usage restrictions. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of service of each model you access through our Service. We provide links to provider terms in our API documentation.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
